tabcomplete 1.4.0 script details The tabcomplete plugin helps users save some time by showing the first suggestion from a list of matching terms as a hint next to the typed word.
If the user presses the TAB key then the first suggestion will be automatically entered in the field and the text cursor advanced forward.
This technique is also called input suggestion or input hinting, and the tabcomplete plugin supports two ways of implementing this.
It can show a shadow placeholder completing the user's word, or it can also automatically add and select the hinted text, validating and deselecting it when the TAB key is pressed.
tabcomplete comes with a basic example to show developers how it can be implemented with their forms.
